Reactions to FYV

Here are some reactions to Finding Your Voice:

  • A Roget for your cliché! Liven up your expressions by replacing verbs with vibrant phrases FYV provides. Such substitutions will maintain your precision while conveying the rich overtones you feel.
  • For each of his alphabetically ordered verbs, Frank has given us a list of phrases. Just select the one having the jolt you seek.
  • Envision (dream if you will for a moment) a book possessing (having a shoebox full of) vibrant phrases that you can utilize (put to good use) when you evaluate (take stock of) words you have just written (hammered out). Above I’ve parenthetically provided examples from such a book: Marshall Frank’s “Finding Your Voice.” It’s a great tool and so easy to use (tap into)!
  • I really don’t use dictionaries much, but Marshall Frank’s book of phrases really helps when you can’t come up with a good way to say something. It is good for anyone to use.
  • With this ingenious thesaurus in hand, you are positioned to liven up what you write and speak.
  • Thanks to Frank for making this first portion of his work available to scholars and the man-on-the-street. I encourage him to publish volumes dealing with other components of the conceptual cosmos.
